Gentle Growth is a safe space for adults, children and young people to access therapy both online and in person, addressing what’s bothering them or exploring the changes they wish to make.
In my work with children, I blend art, play, clay, and sand tray therapy to create an accessible, supportive, and engaging therapeutic environment.
When working with adults, I offer open-ended, integrative talking therapy with an option of adding a creative element to the sessions (art/clay/sand).

At Gentle Growth we provide integrative counselling. Integrative Therapy is a flexible approach that combines different therapeutic techniques and modalities to suit the individual needs of the client.
In this approach, we blend Gestalt and Transactional Analysis approached with a strong Person-Centred foundation, ensuring that the client's experiences and feelings are central to the therapeutic process.
Additionally, it is attachment-theory based and trauma-informed, focusing on the impact of past relationships and traumatic experiences on current behaviour and well-being.
Our therapy also emphasises social justice and anti-discrimination, aiming to address and challenge societal inequalities and biases that affect mental health.

Art Therapy uses creative techniques such as drawing, painting, and sculpting to help individuals express themselves and process emotions. It aims to improve mental well-being by exploring the symbolic meanings of art created by the patient.
Clay Therapy involves the use of clay as a medium for self-expression and emotional release. This tactile form of therapy allows individuals to mould and shape the clay, which can help them process complex emotions and experiences in a non-verbal way.
-
Sand Tray Therapy utilises a sandbox and miniature figures to create scenes that reflect a person's inner thoughts and feelings. This non-verbal therapeutic technique provides a safe space for individuals to express and explore their subconscious mind through symbolic representation.
-
Play Therapy leverages play, a natural mode of communication for children, to help them express their feelings, resolve conflicts, and understand their own behaviours. Therapists use toys, games, and activities to observe and interpret the child's play, facilitating emotional and psychological healing.

Online Therapy is a form of counselling conducted over the internet through video calls (Zoom etc). It offers flexibility and accessibility, allowing individuals to receive therapeutic support from the comfort of their own homes, which can be particularly beneficial for those with mobility issues, busy schedules, or who live in remote areas.
